Winnipeg is a large sunny city, along four prairie rivers, only a short drive away from parks, remote forests, lakes, beaches, and wilderness.

Winnipeg at the Forks where two rivers meet, along the historic Red River valley that native peoples used for thousands of years.

Polar bears hibernate and hunt in northern Manitoba, near Churchill.  Black bears are abundant further south, and sometimes they go into Winnipeg!

Beautiful sunsets and moonrises can be seen over thousands of lakes.  Manitoba has many Canadian Shield lakes with granite cliffs, and Lake Winnipeg is the largest lake within the borders of Southern Canada.
